Mother's Day

I was going to wait until Wednesday evening to create my next post but I have to share my mothers day. This weekend was a "dad" weekend for my 3 and a "mom" weekend for Hubby's 3.  I did get to take my 3 on Mother's day though. Which was great...
So this is how my day started.
Got to sleep in until about 8 (YAY!) Got up talked with hubby.. called mom to wish her a happy mother's day then decided that before I was to pick up the kids at 11:30 I would go for a walk.  Yeah a walk, you know to get a little bit of exercise it.  Well, as soon as I put on my sneakers the 4 dogs know what I'm doing so the decision becomes.. which 1 or 2 I take with me...
Me being as ambitious as I am decide I can take the 2 biggest with me..  The 90 lb Rottie and 80 lb tall Boxer... Yeah why not.. they'll listen to me, I can handle them..
I don't even get 1/4 mile down the road when a big white dog comes running out of his house to the end of his drive way barking and antagonizing my 2 rather large/huge dogs.. who decide that they don't want to take his messing around.. It took everything I had to drag them back to the house.. little ole me and the 2 big dummies...
And that was the extent of my walk.

I then went and picked up my 3 amazing children..  We came home and they gave me their beautiful hand made gifts.  You know the hand-print lamb from the 4 year old (those are some of my favorite) and my 6 year old wrote me 2 books... These 2 books are what I want to share today:
1) These are the top 10 reasons why I love my mom...
     10 - I love my Mom because she reads me - dinosaur books.
     9 - I love my Mom because she helps me - plant.
     8 - I love my Mom when she makes me laugh by - making a monkey face. (for those who know me.. it's pretty darn funny!)
     7 - I love my Mom because she taught me how to - spell in cursive.
     6 - I love to hear my Mom sing - Muppet Songs.  (it's about the only thing I can sign decently)
     5 - I love my Mom because she finds time to- go to Six Flags.
     4 - I know my Mom cares because she - hugs me. (one of my favorite past times)
     3 - I know my Mom is smart because - she can count money (how cute is that?)
     2 - I love my mom because she works so hard at - Work.
     1 - I love my Mom because she's the - BEST MOM EVER!

2) My mom is - Super COOL!
     My mom is - Athletic (he drew a pic of me playing tennis.  I'm glad he thinks I'm good at it.. I look like a fish out of water playing. lol)
     She's brilliant at - Math (thank god cause I do it for a living)
     and she can - count money. (this must be HUGE for him right now since he mentioned it in 2 books!!!)
     and she tells me - dinosaur stories.
     and she's a fantastic - mom... (awe)
     and she can - hug me and kiss me. (again, some of my favorite past times)
     it's great to have a mom like mine.  Shes - AWESOME!


As parents.. we know it's the small thing. I couldn't have had any better presents then those.  I'm the luckiest mommy in the world.
